Welcome to the World Stick Museum

A panoramic banner on a solid black background showcasing a diverse collection of sticks and wooden objects. From left to right, the items include a spear with a pointed metal head, a wooden singlestick with a basket hilt, an ornamental silver and gold baton resting on a red velvet cushion, a long wooden bishop's crook with an ornate silver head, a decorative Welsh carved spoon, a smiling child peeking out from a small stick-built shelter, a white mobility cane, and a marshmallow being toasted over a small campfire. Sticks have shaped humans, and humans have shaped sticks. From the first branches used as tools and shelters to finely carved walking sticks and ceremonial staffs, sticks have been at the heart of human survival, creativity and culture.

At the World Stick Museum, you can explore how sticks have been used to build homes, cook food, carve stories, fight battles, walk safely and navigate the world without sight. Each gallery is designed to be accessible, tactile and engaging for blind and sighted visitors alike.
